Privacy - Photographer Torture

We love and RESPECT our clients...each and every one of them. A part of this respect for our clients is expressed in our concern for their privacy. Unlike what many would expect, some folks actually don't appreciate theirs or their family members' faces strewn across social media. For this reason, we ALWAYS ask our clients permission to use their images before posting to social media. And guess what, not all of them give us that permession. And while this is torture for us (we want to share ALL of our clients' beautiful images and shout from the roof tops, "we have the best, cutest, awesome clients EVER"; we respect their decisions.

Case in point... We have a client who has no footprint on social media due to concerns because of their profession. We have watched her darling daughter grow up from an infant, to a toddler...every three months she was in our studio for us to document her daughter's first year (and now beyond) and none of her images were to be posted anywhere. TORTURE! We want to share how cute your children are! But, alas, we respect her privacy and can only take comfort when momma smiles with delight during her photo reveal. But, on the occasion of her daughter's first birthday, I felt compelled to ask as I always do, expecting the same result, "can we share any of your daughter's images?"

And to my surprise...

She said, "Yes!"

I about fell over when she said we could use her images on social media, because look at how stinking cute this little girl is!!
